Everyone knows that the batteries that are hooked up require immediate recharging. And what if the batteries got inside the body, and the fifth cup of coffee does not help anymore? How to regain strength? Nutritionists are advised to switch to a specially selected energy diet, which will return the strength to the body, and relieve fat stores.
Experts consider a healthy way of life to be the best means of combating the decline of power. Namely:
- full (7-9 hours) sleep;
- walking in the fresh air (1-2 hours);
- regular physical activity (40 minutes a day).
In addition, it is important to include in your diet foods rich in antidepressant substances, such as folic acid, selenium and tryptophan. It is equally important to replenish the supply of B vitamins (B1, B2, B3 and B5, B12) and tocopherol (vitamin E), which contribute to the production of the hormone of pleasure – serotonin, and also improve carbohydrate and oxygen metabolism. In the energy diet, all this is, and therefore today it is more relevant than ever.
The essence of diet
The energy diet is based on three not:
NO caffeinated beverages. Tea, coffee, cola, energy drinks and other beverages containing caffeine steal energy from us. Each time, using them, a person falls into a trap: first, caffeine spurs the work of the nervous system, resulting in a 30-minute energy boost, but as soon as the action of caffeine stops, an inevitable collapse occurs, which lasts about 2-3 hours.
NO sweets. Refined sugar, sweets, cakes and other confectionery, sweet soda – that’s another group of energy thieves. Nutritionists believe that the eaten cake acts like the last crook. First, it increases the blood sugar level, allowing the body to get some energy, and after a time takes it twice as much. This is due to the compensatory mechanisms that are triggered in the body in response to a sharp jump in glucose. As a result, after the rise of sugar, its level in the blood drops sharply, and the body empties into the energy hole. And such falls painfully hit by the metabolism, which in time can lead to weight gain.
NO to alcohol. With alcoholic drinks, too, not everything is simple. The fact is that alcoholic beverages are very high in calories. Once in the human body, they provide us with short-term energy, which at the same time does not contain vitamins, mineral salts, or other necessary compounds. Empty energy quickly burns, leaving a feeling of emptiness and emotional burnout.
Instead of energy thieves, diet authors recommend switching to the use of energy donors, which include: freshly squeezed juices, herbal and berry teas, mineral water. A reliable source of energy will be whole grains of porridge and legumes, which will provide B vitamins and complex carbohydrates. As for proteins, the body can replenish their reserves thanks to the presence in the diet menu of fish and seafood (they are rich in polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids, which have a beneficial effect not only on the figure, but also on the human nervous system).
Who will use this diet?
Those who are able to easily give up meat. In this diet, there are neither juicy steaks, nor goulash, but do not be upset – the body will not lack a protein. All that he needs, he can get from fish, eggs, seafood, milk and legumes. But coffee lovers, indeed, will have to be very tight, especially for those who used the invigorating drink for many years. To soften the rejection of coffee will help exotic varieties of herbal teas (with the addition of fruits and flowers) or surrogate drinks that do not contain caffeine.
